Press Release Regarding the Terrorist Attack in Kabul

We learned with great sorrow that, according to initial reports, at
least 21 people were killed and 45 people were injured today (10
January) as a result of the terrorist attack perpetrated near the
Parliament of Afghanistan in Kabul.
We strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack in which many people
including, employees of the Parliament, which represents the will of
Afghan people, lost their lives. We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who
lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded, and convey our
condolences to the Government of Afghanistan and the brotherly Afghan
people.
We are confident that this heinous terrorist attack will not weaken
Afghanistan’s determination in the struggle against the challenges it
faces. Turkey will continue to extend her solidarity to the friendly
and brotherly people of Afghanistan against terrorism and to provide
full support to the Government of Afghanistan.
