No: 212, 26 June 2014
We have received with great sadness the news of the bomb attacks that have occurred yesterday (June 25) in a shopping mall in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, causing the death of nearly a hundred people according to initial reports, as well as the injury of numerous others, including two Turkish nationals.
The condition of our wounded citizens who are under treatment is closely monitored by our Embassy in Abuja.
We strongly condemn these attacks which have intentionally targeted an area with a large concentration of civilian population and reaffirm our readiness to provide every support to the Nigerian authorities in their fight against terrorism.
